The designers behind FOODIE, UNIT10, wanted to create a series of products that make kitchen time fun. The 50s-inspired design expression features rounded shapes and matt surfaces. This gives the products a comfortable grip and a harmonious presence that will look great in any kitchen. In fact, so great that the products should be left out instead of stoved away after use. The FOODIE series consists of a toaster, electric kettle, coffee grinder, coffee maker, milk frother, hand mixer, hand blender, and smoothie blender. A good-looking solution to most kitchen needs. All products come in a functional, clean-cut design that gives the collection a uniform aesthetic expression. The design look is specially carried by the designer’s wish to turn function into a design detail. Thus, the few functional buttons have been turned into stringent graphical features of the products.
